Create an Oath Ad Platforms Campaign


Feature Summary: The following document describes how to set up a campaign for Oath Ad Platforms or any Oath Ad Platforms Partner.

NOTE: Only one Oath Ad Platforms campaign within Kochava is required to track ALL Oath Ad traffic. Any additional Oath Ad Platforms campaigns setup with Kochava will display no activity.

NOTE: Create one Tracker for each Oath Ad Platforms Partner you are working with. It is not required to create a Segment for each Oath Ad Platforms Partner within the Campaign; all Oath Ad Platforms Partner Trackers can reside in a single Segment.

NOTE: In order for data to be properly attributed to Oath Ad Platforms Partners, a proper naming convention must be used when setting up your campaigns in Oath Ad Platforms. For more information about the proper naming conventions to be used for Oath Ad Platforms Partners within Oath Ad, refer to our Oath Ad Platforms Partner Naming Conventions support documentation.

 

BEST PRACTICES: Due to Kochava only requiring one (1) Tracker for all Oath Ad Platforms campaigns, it is best to keep the naming convention general (i.e., Oath Ad Platforms).

 

Data Needed Before Beginning Process:

  • Numeric app store app ID (iOS – found within the app’s store URL)
  • Package Name (Android)

Create an Oath Ad Platforms Campaign

  1. Log in to Kochava.
  2. Select the desired app.
  3. Select App Tools>Campaign Manager.
  4.  

     

    NOTE: As Oath Ad Platforms is a SAN , Kochava does not handle the click redirect therefore a Destination URL is not required.

  5. Click Add a Tracker or Select Segment Tools>Add a Tracker.
    1. Select the Campaign.
    2. Select the Segment.

    NOTE: In order to streamline the Campaign/Segment/Tracker creation process a feature has been added to allow the creation of campaigns and segments while creating a new tracker. For more information about creating a campaign or segment while adding a new tracker, refer to our Create an Install Campaign support document. support documentation.

  6. Enter the Tracker Name.
  7. NOTE: When a Tracker is created, Kochava automatically generates a name for the Tracker. We recommend that you replace the Tracker name at this point with a clear name of your choosing.

  8. Select Tracker Type>Acquisition. (default setting)
  9. Select a Network>Oath Ad Platforms.
  10. Select an Agency Partner. (optional)
  11. Enter or update the Install Destination URL.
  12. Enter a Deeplink. (optional)
  13. Enter any Custom Parameters. (optional)
  14. Enter the Price Type and Target Pricing. (optional)
  15. Click Save. (If no further trackers need to be created)
  16. Click Save & Add Another Tracker. (If additional trackers need to be created)
  17. Click Save & Create Postback. (To navigate directly to the Partner Configuration page).

Create an Install Postback Configuration

  1. Select App Tools>Partner Configuration.
  2.  

     

  3. Click Add a Configuration.
  4. Select Network Partner>Oath Ad Platforms.
  5. Click Go.
  6.  

     

  7. Select Install>Postback Tools>Edit.
  8. Enter the App Name.
  9. Enter the App Store ID:
    1. Bundle ID (iOS)
    2. Package Name (Android)
  10. Select the Delivery Delay.
  11. Select the number of Retry Attempts.
  12. Click Save.
  13.  


Create a Post-Install Postback Configuration

  1. Select App Tools>Partner Configuration.
  2.  

     

  3. Click Add a Configuration.
  4. Select Network Partner>Oath Ad Platforms.
  5. Click Go.
  6.  

     

  7. Locate the desired Post-Install Event and Click Edit Postback.
  8. Enter the App Name.
  9. Enter the App Store ID.
  10. Enter the App Package Name.
  11. Enter the Pixel ID.
  12. Enter the Event Category.
  13. Enter the Event Name.
  14. Enter the Custom Event Name.
  15. Enter the Event Label. (optional)
  16. Enter the Event Value.
  17. Select a Delivery Delay. (optional)
  18. Select the number of Retry Attempts. (optional)
  19. Select the Delivery Method. (optional)
  20. Click Save.

 


Locating Oath Ad Platforms Data

  1. Log into Oath Ad Platforms Native & Search.
  2. Select Shared library>Conversion rules.
  3. Select the desired Conversion rule.
  4.  

     

  5. Locate the App Name.
  6. Locate the App Store ID.
  7. Locate the Pixel ID.
  8. Locate the Event Category.
  9. Locate the Event Name.
  10. Locate the Event Label.
  11. Enter the Oath Ad Platform Native & Search data into the Kochava UI.

 

A. Enter the App Store URL, the App Name will auto-populate.
B. Click View tag code. The Pixel ID is located in the JavaScript and Image code boxes.
C. Event Category.
D. Event Name.
E. Event Label.
