Instance Method – sendEventWithNameString:infoDictionary:

  • Instance Method

    sendEvent(withNameString:infoDictionary:)

Creates an instance of class KochavaEvent which has a nameString and an optional infoDictionary, and then sends it to the Kochava Server. A convenience method.

    Declaration

    Parameters

    nameString A name string.
Event names do not need to be pre-registered. They can be any alphanumeric string value which does not begin with an underscore.

NOTE: Prepending an event name with an underscore is a convention reserved for Kochava system events. (i.e., _INSTALL)

    infoDictionary A information dictionary.
The keys and values can be any alphanumeric string value.
This field has an entirely generic quality, in that it can contain whatever you consider to be fitting value.

    Overview

There are several different ways of creating and sending a KochavaEvent. Use this convenience method if the event name is a custom name and there are no additional fields of information you wish to send– or else the information you wish to send is limited to custom key/value pairs.
