Reports inform your marketing strategy to analyze any aspect of your campaign. With Kochava, you can obtain reports in a variety of ways to suit your needs: row-level depth, turnkey, scheduled, API, or custom (via Kochava Query). The following document defines the process for creating reports within the Kochava Interface.
Available reports include the following:
- Audience — This report provides a list of device IDs based on Analytics filters in CSV or JSON format.
- Detail Reports — These reports provide a row-level accounting of actions such as clicks or events within campaigns.
- Specialized Reports — These reports provide more in-depth insight into marketing performance. New reports are added periodically.
- Summary Reports — These reports provide a summary accounting of unique clicks, duplicate clicks, installs and reengagement events segmented by campaign or network.
NOTE: If Currency Normalization has been enabled at the app level, Kochava can dynamically convert all inbound events with a non-US dollar currency to a US dollar currency. Through the reporting features Kochava offers, primarily purchase events, advertisers will see the details of the original currency which is provided along with the original amount. The converted total amount can be viewed within the dimension_sum column.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Latitude and Longitude values are populated based on a 3rd party IP lookup service and are associated with a general city center location.
Reports Interface Overview
- Log in to Kochava.
- Select the desired Account and App.
- Select Reports > Custom Reports.
Feature Note: To add this menu item to your Favorites Menu, select the “+” sign that appears when you hover over the menu. The Features Menu provides quick access to your most frequently visited areas of the Kochava UI.
The Reports interface displays all of the reports available to be run or customized.
Available reports are organized within tabs for Attribution, Cost & Revenue, Query and SKAdNetwork.
Reports can be quickly run with the default settings by clicking Quick Run, or each report may be custom built in order to suit a specific need by clicking Customize.

Edit Report Columns:
The report default columns can be reordered or removed within the detail reports.
- Click Edit Report Columns.

- Click Save.

Reports can be easily run with the default settings and sent to the account email address, S3 bucket or SFTP. Clicking Run will automatically generate a report with the default settings listed below:

NOTE: Depending on the type of report that is selected, different options may or may not be available.
NOTE: Detail Reports that exceed 5.0 gigabytes in size will be compressed to enable accelerated download.
- Select the Report Type.
NOTE: Within the grouping feature, information may be grouped by Custom Parameter (i.e., cp_0). Custom Parameters are setup during campaign creation. For more information about using custom parameters, contact your Client Success Managers.

Creating a Query Report
Query Reports allow you to schedule recurring deliveries of a report that has already been built and saved using Kochava Query. Unlike the other report types covered above, a Query Report cannot be generated using default settings — a query must first be created and saved in Kochava Query before it can be scheduled for delivery here.
NOTE: For more information on building and saving a query, refer to our Custom Query support documentation.
- Select the Reports interface, then select the Query report category tab.
- Click Customize. (Query Reports do not offer a Quick Run option, since a saved query is required before a report can be scheduled.)
- Enter a Report Name.
- Select the Time Zone. (set to user default)
- Select a Repeat frequency:
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Enter Recipients. (Email set to user default)
- Select a Delivery Method:
- Reporting Link
- Custom S3 Bucket (see Custom S3 Bucket Settings below for details)
- SFTP (see SFTP Bucket Settings below for details)
- Select a query from the Saved Queries dropdown, organized by Account Queries and App Queries.
- Review the Current Query Value field, a read-only preview of the SQL associated with the selected saved query.
- (Optional) Toggle Meta AMM Network Breakdown to break out Facebook and Instagram campaign data separately.
- Review the Summary statement, confirming the schedule, delivery format, delivery method, and recipients.
- Click Create.
NOTE: Delivery Format for Query Reports is fixed to CSV, and Frequency is fixed to Scheduled/Recurring — a One-Time option is not available for this report type.
NOTE: Enabling Meta AMM Network Breakdown may increase report processing time.
Meta AMM Network Breakdown in Scheduled Query Reports
When scheduling a recurring export from Reports → Custom Reports → Query tab → Customize Report, a Meta AMM Network Breakdown toggle is available for advertisers with signed Meta mobile data terms. When enabled, data is broken out separately for Facebook and Instagram campaigns; processing may take longer than usual as a result.
Using the toggle in the Customize Report drawer
- Open the Customize Report drawer and select a saved query from the Saved Queries dropdown.
- The Meta AMM toggle is set to OFF whenever a saved query is selected.
- Turn the toggle ON if this scheduled report should include Facebook and Instagram data as distinct networks.
- Click Create to save the scheduled report with the toggle in its current state.
NOTE: Selecting a different saved query resets the Meta AMM toggle back to OFF. If you switch to a different saved query, turn the toggle back on before creating the report if Meta data should be included.
Who can use this toggle
The Meta AMM Network Breakdown section is hidden entirely in the Customize Report drawer for agency users — the same restriction that applies on the main Query page.
Custom S3 Bucket Settings
Reports can be sent to a designated customer S3 bucket. The S3 Bucket settings can be setup for the selected app on the Edit App page. For more information about setting up a Custom S3 Bucket for an app, refer to our Create/Edit Apps support documentation.
NOTE: If the S3 Bucket settings have been entered in the Edit App page, the settings may be modified for the report being created/edited within the reports interface.
NOTE: Reports can only be uploaded to top level bucket directory, subfolders are not supported at this time
- Enter the Bucket Name.
- Enter the Bucket Region (Example: us-east-1).
- Enter the AWS Access Key.
- Enter the AWS Secret Key.

Reports can be sent to a designated customer SFTP. The SFTP settings can be setup for the selected app on the Edit App page. For more information about setting up a Custom SFTP for an app, refer to our Create/Edit Apps support documentation.
NOTE: Set the authentication method to SSH/Public Key rather than password. Setting the authentication method ot password may cause issues with report deliveries.
