Analytics Lifetime Value


The LTV (Lifetime Value) page provides visualizations of the campaigns, devices, events, locations or attribution for the selected app. The graph may be moused over to display the data associated with each metric.


Analytics User Interface

  1. Log in to Kochava.
  2. Select the desired Account and App.
  3. Select Analytics > Dashboard > LTV.

Feature Note: To add this menu item to your Favorites Menu, select the “+” sign that appears when you hover over the menu. The Features Menu provides quick access to your most frequently visited areas of the Kochava UI.


Analytics Page Tools


For more information on the tools available for this Analytic Page such as the date field, exporting device IDs, sharing the page and applying Cohorts and filters, refer to our Analytics Page Tools support documentation.

Filters:

Filters can be used to further refine, organize and visualize the displayed data in a method that is most beneficial. Multiple filters can be added and saved for later use.

  1. Click + Add Filter.
    Added filters may be inclusive or exclusive. Select from the following filters categories:
    1. App — Based on the available apps within account.
    2. Events — Based on Standard or Custom events.
    3. Location — Based on IP address.
    4. Attribution — Based on attributed installs and campaign attribution settings.
    5. Campaign — Based on campaign naming conventions.
    6. Device — Based on user agent.
    7. Traffic Verification — Based on Traffic success or failure.
    8. Agency — Based on the available apps within the agency account.

Once the filter category has been selected, one or more values may be added per filter. Filters can be saved and reapplied within any of the Analytics pages.

  1. Select the Filter drop-down menu, Select desired Filter.
  2. Add desired values.
  3. Click “X” to remove Filter.

D. Click “X” to remove Filter and associated Metric(s)

E. Click “Clear” to remove all Filters.

Time Range:

The date range filter provides the option to refine the window of data that is displayed. The following range types and time ranges are available for selection:

  • Last:
    • last day
    • last week
    • last month
    • last quarter
    • last year
  • Previous:
    • previous calendar week
    • precious calendar month
    • previous calendar year
  • Custom:
    • Start (Inclusive):
      • Relative Date/Time — This option provides a text field in which a number can be manually entered and a drop-down box where the following options:
        • Days Before
        • Seconds Before
        • Minutes Before
        • Hours Before
        • Weeks Before
        • Months Before
        • Quarters Before
        • Years Before
      • Specific Date/Time — A manual date/time may be entered or the calendar and time selection tool may be used.
      • Now — This is the selection of the current date and time.
      • Midnight — This is the selection of the current date and the time selection of midnight or (24:00hrs).
    • End (Exclusive):
      • Specific Date/Time — A manual date/time may be entered or the calendar and time selection tool may be used.
      • Relative Date/Time — This option provides a text field in which a number can be manually entered and a drop-down box where the following options:
        • Days After
        • Seconds After
        • Minutes After
        • Hours After
        • Weeks After
        • Months After
        • Quarters After
        • Years After
      • Now — This is the selection of the current date and time.
      • Midnight — This is the selection of the current date and the time selection of midnight or (24:00hrs).
  • Advanced:
    • Start (Inclusive) — Manually enter today or a specific desired start date.
    • End (Exclusive) — Manually enter today or a specific desired end date.
  • Previous:
    • previous calendar week
    • previous calendar month
    • previous calendar year
  • No filter:

A. After range selection, select the desired time range.
B. Time range that will be displayed.

Cohorts:

Within Kochava, Cohorts are groups of users that installed an app within a specific date range.

  1. From the Cohort drop-down menu, Select one of the following:
    1. All Time — Displays all Event and all Install data for the selected date range.
    2. All Installs — Displays all Installs data within cohort date range.
    3. Attributed Installs — Displays only Attributed Installs within cohort date range.
    4. Unattributed Installs — Displays on Unattributed Installs within cohort date range.

When a Cohort is selected, the Cohort date field will be presented. Data for users who fall within the Cohort during the Cohort date range will be visualized within the defined Analytics date range.

USE CASE: In the example shown below, the Attributed Install Cohort has been selected with a date range of 4/18/2019 thru 4/30/2019. The data for that group of users will now be displayed within the Analytics date range.

A. Cohort Date Range: This date range determines the group of users to display within the Analytics Date Range
B. Analytics Date Range: This date range determines the overall length of time displayed
C. Data displaying the selected Cohort within the Analytics Date Range

NOTE: By default, All Time is applied which displays all relevant data.

NOTE: If a Cohort is applied, that Cohort will stay active until deactivated even when navigating to other Analytic pages.

Currency:

By default cost data is displayed in US Dollars, however cost data may be displayed in a variety of other currency.

From the Currency drop-down menu select one of the following:

  • AED

LTV Chart Overview

The LTV Chart is divided into three main sections the selected metrics, graphic display of the metric volume and metric totals for the selected timeframe.

Mousing over any metric within the graphical display will display the data associated with the corresponding hours/days.

NOTE: When leveraging Cross App functionality, LTV data for all apps within the App Name filter will be displayed. LTV data may be displayed for each app by utilizing the split by feature. For more information on viewing LTV data by app, refer to the Metric Organization section. For more information about adding apps using the filter feature, refer to our Analytics Page Tools support documentation.

NOTE: When a metric does not have any data associated within the selected timeframe, nothing will be displayed within the graphic display and the Total will display $0.00.

Metric Organization


The metrics within the LTV page can be organized in many different ways in order to assist in the optimization of data visualization.

NOTE: In order to use the App split by feature, the desired apps must be added utilizing the filter feature. For more information about adding apps using the filter feature, refer to our Analytics Page Tools support documentation.

NOTE: The post-install events that are available within this section of the Split By menu are determined by the events setup for tracking. For more information about creating and configuring events, refer to our Post-Install Event Creation and Configuration support documentation.

Intervals within the metric graphic display can be organized to display specific windows of time.

  1. From the Show drop-down menu, Select one of the following:

    2. 7 Days
    3. 14 Days
    4. 30 Days
