Firebase Dynamic Links Migration Guide

Firebase Dynamic Links was launched over 7 years ago in order to make URLs more powerful and useful. Due to the development of new technology since its inception, Google has decided to deprecate Firebase Dynamic Links. Google will announce more information on the final deprecation date is August 25th 2025, for more information refer to Google’s Dynamic Links Deprecation FAQ support documentation.

Migration from Firebase Dynamic Links to Smartlinks

  1. Add App Link and Universal Link Support.
  2. Enable Android Enhanced Deeplinking in the SDK.
  3. Enable iOS Enhanced Deeplinking in the SDK.
  4. Use either of the methods below to create Smartlinks:
