Create a Localytics Campaign

The following document defines the process for creating a Localytics campaign within Kochava.

 

Data Needed Before Beginning Process:

  • Localytics App ID
  • App Bundle ID or App Package Name

 

Use Cases for a Localytics Campaign:

  • An app marketing campaign with Localytics has been created.

Create a Localytics Campaign

  1. Log in to Kochava.
  2. Select the desired Account and App.
  3. Select Links > Campaign Manager.
  4.  

     

  1. Click Add a Tracker or Select Segment Tools () > Add a Tracker.
    1. Select the Campaign.
    2. Select the Segment.

    NOTE: In order to streamline the Campaign/Segment/Tracker creation process a feature has been added to allow the creation of campaigns and segments while creating a new tracker. For more information about creating a campaign or segment while adding a new tracker, refer to our Create an Install Campaign support document. support documentation.

     

    Add a Tracker

     

  2. Enter the Tracker Name.
  3. NOTE: When a Tracker is created, Kochava automatically generates a name for the Tracker. We recommend that you replace the Tracker name at this point with a clear name of your choosing

  4. Select Tracker Type > Acquisition. (default setting)
  5. Select Media Partner:
    1. Localytics — Android.
    2. Localytics — iOS.
  6. Select an Agency Partner. (optional)
  7. Select the Destination URL Type:
    1. Custom
    2. Google Referrer (Android Only)
    3. Landing Page

    NOTE: For more information on creating and using Landing Pages, refer to our Landing Page Creation and Maintenance support documentation.

  8. Enter or update the Install Destination URL.
  9. Enter a Deep Link. (optional)
  10. Enter Custom Parameters. (optional)
  11. Click Save. (If no further trackers need to be created).
  12. Click Save & Add Another Tracker. (If additional trackers need to be created).
  13. Click Save & Create Postback. (To navigate directly to the Partner Configuration page).

Create a Postback Configuration

  1. Select Apps & Assets > Partner Configuration.
  2.  

     

  1. Click Add a Configuration.
  2. Select a Network Partner > Localytics.
  3. Click Go.
  4.  

    Add a Postback

     

  5. Select Install > Postback Tools () > Edit.
  6. Enter the Localytics App ID. (obtained from Localytics)
  7. Enter the App Bundle ID (iOS) or App Package Name (Android).
  8. NOTE: For more information about locating the App Bundle ID, refer to our Locating the Apple Bundle ID support documentation.

  9. Select whether to Supply Network Data to Analytics Partner. (optional)
  10. Select the Delivery Delay. (optional)
  11. Select the number of Retry Attempts. (optional)
  12. Select the Delivery Method.
